Two full time deputy sheriff's are assigned to the Court. These officers perform duties as bailiffs and call the cases to come before the Court. These officers provide transportation for children who are in secure detention and are responsible for children in the two secure detention rooms located at the Courthouse Annex during the hearing process.
The deputies also serve petitions, summons, subpoenas and warrant as required plus assist with the location of runaway. They also provide transportation of Whitfield County children who are taken into custody in other jurisdictions and must be transported to Whitfield County in custody.
