Marriage Initiative would like to congratulate you on your decision to marry.
In making this life long commitment we know that you want to make it a happy
marriage. In studying what makes a happy marriage we have found that premarital
education is a key factor that helps.
Below are listed the names of individuals that we know offer quality education. We encourage you to choose from one of these methods before you actually marry. The Magistrate Judges and Probate Judge are also in support of premarital education. If you plan to have one of the local Magistrate Judges or Probate Judge marry you they will ask that you go through premarital education to ensure that they are giving you a quality service. You will need to make arrangements for the education. There is a charge for the services that will be rendered according to each individual Educators choice. A certificate for the couple attending will be given at the end of the workshop or sessions. If you choose another source of premarital education than those listed below, the Judges will ask that the education include: Conflict Resolution, Communication, Parenting and Finances. We will be glad to speak with your educator to see that he is teaching the above information. Please note this is voluntary for the judges to marry you and it is your choice to follow their recommendation.
Congratulations and Best Wishes!! The Whitfield/ Murray Marriage Initiative.
