Sec. 11-1. Recreation system Established.
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 36-64-3, there is hereby created a recreation system for the county.

Sec. 11-2. Same Providing facilities.
(a) The board of commissioners may on its own initiative provide for the conduct, equipment and maintenance of the system by dedicating and setting apart for use as parks, playgrounds, recreation centers and for other recreational purposes or by contracting for or leasing for such uses any lands or buildings, or both, all as provided in the above referenced laws.
(b) The board of commissioners shall provide for the conduct, equipment, and maintenance of the system by appropriations made in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 36-64-2.

Sec. 11-3. Same Contracting therefor.
The board of commissioners shall enter into a contract with the county board of education in order for the board of education to join with the board of commissioners in conducting and maintaining the recreation system. The board of commissioners may, in its discretion, enter into similar contracts from year to year following the initial year of operation of this recreation system for the purpose of conducting and maintaining the system, and the board of commissioners may, in its discretion, vest the power to provide, maintain and conduct the system in another existing body or a recreation board as it may determine.

Sec. 11-4. Same For use of county residents.
The supervised recreation system hereby created shall be for the use and benefit of all residents of the county.
