GIS (Geographic Information System)
The GIS Division of the IT Department provides Geographic Information and Data. Any data that can be linked to a geographic location is gathered from various departments and consolidated into one application and provided via the Internet.
Whitfield County has one of the most advanced and comprehensive GIS application in the state. In addition to the geographic information of property, property tax information, deed records and tax assessment information is also made available.
Our current staff is made up of a GIS Coordinator and a Sr GIS Tech.
