Greater Dalton Multimodal Transit Feasibility Study
Study Overview
The Greater Dalton Metropolitan Planning Organization (Greater Dalton MPO) with support from the Georgia Department of Transportation is undertaking the Multimodal Transit Feasibility Study to find ways to improve public transit services in the Greater Dalton area.
Everyone can get involved as the study will provide opportunities:- To work together - local elected officials, planners, and citizens alike,
- To improve overall quality of life by investing in public transit, and
- To attract new housing, jobs, and services.
The study will explore and define a set of transit solutions through a series of tasks that include a public outreach program, identifying who to serve, where they need and want to go, identifying available federal, state, and other funding sources, and a schedule to implement the recommended transit services.
